Heritage Plaza Animal Hospital understands how important your pet is to you. We have a team of compassionate and caring staff that provide hands-on, up-to-date treatment and care for your pet. We focus on establishing a trusting relationship with our clients to ensure an overall positive experience.

 

James Jorgensen

DVM-Founder and Owner

Dr. Jorgensen received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Oklahoma State University in 1981 after serving time in the U.S. Air Force. He has been practicing veterinary medicine in Midwest City for over 40 years. Dr. Jorgensen has been married to Kinuko for 53 years and they have one son, Matt. Dr. Jorgensen has had many hobbies over the years, but he currently enjoys reading, bird watching, and photography. Animals have fascinated Dr. Jorgensen since he was a young child. He became a veterinarian because he loves working with people and their pets.

 

Kim Mudroch

DVM-Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Mudroch received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Oklahoma State University in 1995. She has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 27 years, with the majority of that time in Midwest City. Dr. Mudroch has been married for 25 years and has one son. When not at the clinic, Dr. Mudroch has one dog and shows pigs on her family farm. Dr. Mudroch knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was in junior high school. She feels it is a unique profession where you get to work with animals by focusing on their health and well-being. She loves getting to do something different each day she comes to work.

 

Shirley Hill

Veterinary Assistant/Office Manager

Shirley has worked as a veterinary assistant and office manager since 2015. She loves working at Heritage Plaza Animal Hospital because she gets the opportunity for a new challenge each day. Shirley enjoys working with the animals and ensuring they get the proper care and treatment. Shirley always makes sure the clients feel welcome and heard, while providing them with the information they need to keep their pets happy and healthy. Shirley enjoys spending time with her dog Cocoa, while also pursuing her interests of photography, playing the piano, and watching anime and crime dramas.

Keirstyn Francis

Veterinary Assistant

Keirstyn joined our team as a Veterinary Assistant in December 2024. Keirstyn focuses on keeping your pets happy and healthy. She believes feeding your pets high-quality food, spending meaningful time with them, and endlessly loving them is the key to being a great pet parent. Keirstyn is incredibly passionate, full of joy, and lives out her purpose of working with animals every day. Keirstyn loves working in veterinary medicine because she feels like she can speak for those without a voice, understands their innocence and unconditional love for humans, and believes they are all truly gifts from the Lord. Keirstyn has always had a passion for animals and is currently pursuing her Registered Veterinary Technician degree. When Keirstyn is not working at the clinic, she spends time in school or studying, being involved in her church, attending gymnastics practices, and watching her favorite TV shows. Keirstyn is the proud pet parent to three adorable pups, Lily, Gracie, and Piper.

Kenna Gay

Veterinary Assistant

Kenna has worked as a Veterinary Assistant since December 2024 and is truly an advocate for your pets regarding routine lab work, vaccinations, and sterilization. Kenna feels deep compassion and affection towards animals and finds working with them incredibly inspiring. Kenna’s main goal working in veterinary medicine is to ensure accessible and affordable care to the clients. She has a specific interest in supporting local farmers and ranchers who feed the world. Kenna has a fun personality and truly loves to learn. When Kenna is not working at the clinic, she is an avid college student, she teaches showmanship clinics (horses and goats) and spends time with her sweet pup, Pecker.
